In a big jolt to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Telugu Desam Party MLA from Prattipadu in Guntur district, Ravela Kishore Babu resigned to his post as well as to the party’s primary membership. According to reports, the former minister sent out his resignation to the Speaker on Friday morning.
Owing to infighting in the TDP and his soured relationship with Chandrababu, Kishore Babu took the extreme step, it is learned. The development comes at a time when the political atmosphere in the State has hot up in lieu of the upcoming elections in the State. Last month, former AP Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar resigned to the Congress to join Janasena.
Although no official announcement on his joining the Janasena has been made yet, speculation is rife that Kishore Babu would explain his action plan on joining the Pawan Kalyan-led party at a press conference tomorrow. In all likelihood, he will join the Janasena in Pawan’s presence in Vijayawada.
As per reports, Kishore Babu will seek the Vemuru constituency ticket from Pawan Kalyan.
